The Department of Human Resources in Sharjah, represented by the "Waffer" programme for discounts, organised its community initiative for the month of November, entitled "Design Your Home with Smart Standards", with the aim of acquainting beneficiaries of the Waffer programmme with the importance of taking the right measures before starting to build the house.

The first session was presented by Eng. Abdul Rahman Hussein, a consultant from the Smart Vision Engineering Consultancy Company, who sparked light on the interior design, the consultant, the stages of design and approval of plans, the method of selecting the contractor, the selected specifications in building materials, interior design and decoration. 

The event included various competitions for the participants in the virtual workshop, a question was also asked and a valuable prize was presented for a free design of a house, provided by the Smart Vision Engineering Consultancy Company.

Jawaher Saif Al-Oud, director of the Events and Activities Office at the Department of Human Resources in Sharjah and director of the Waffer Programme for Discounts, emphasised that the programme is keen to implement virtual events during each month by choosing what suits and interests the general public and programme beneficiaries.

She stressed the importance of awareness and education in the field of building and designing homes, technological innovations and smart homes, as it is a vital topic that is witnessing a wide turnout from the beneficiaries of the programme.
